Rock! I mainly got into rock because of Maneskin. Although my parents have been listening to rock since they were teenagers and it just stuck, as a young child it didn't influence me much. Not until 13 years old. When I was 13 I first saw Eurovision. Eurovision is a yearly song contest held in the winning country from the previous year with the participants being majority of European countries and Australia(?). Maneskin performed in 2021 with the song "Zitti E Buoni" and I fell in love. From that point on - I listened to rock almost exclusively. I love all kinds of rock, from The Beatles and Depeche Mode to new stuff like Palaye Royale and my personal favourite - Maneskin!!!
Pop! Before my rock era, I listened to Pop exclusively. As a child - my favourite artists were Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry. My South Africans will understand the power of that one DSTV channel that just played music and music videos. I still listen to pop, like Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and even Maneskin can be considered as "Rock-Pop". Some of my favourite pop songs are Juno - Sabrina Carpenter, Loca - Shakira, anything on the brat album, Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie Minogue and many more that would become too monotonous to read.
